Chivay back to Cuzco

We made it all that was to Cruz del Condor and now it was time to head back to Cuzco. Of course we made some stops along the way--7 hours in a van is too much all at once. We actually saw a little bit of the town of Chivay. They had a cute little town square with a fountain. If you look closely, you may be able to see the ice formed on one side of the statue. It was that chilly.

Little girls from the town were out with their baby Llamas and goats trying to get picture money. Even though we paid we took so many pictures that they eventually just left so that other tourists had a chance. Hee hee. Couldn't help it, they were so cute and fuzzy.

The trip back extended into the late evening. Kristof's poncho was the only thing that helped keep the two of us warm in the van. The heating wasn't working well. Angie and Aaron had to layer tons of clothing and hats.
