Last days in Freiburg

After the sledding extravaganza, Christoph and I wanted to go skiing. Too bad we didn't think to arrive at Feldberg early enought to actually rent skis to use. By the time we arrived, everything within a 15 mile radius was rented out. At one of the shops, the owner suggested a hiking route down to the Schluchsee--about 8,4km or 2 hours. It was a nice little hike through the forest and wasn't cold at all. That night Christoph's dad planned a drive into the forest to a mountain hut overlooking St. Peter. We made Cheese Fondue, drank tee and enjoyed the great outdoors. A bit colder than the little hike earlier. The next day was my birthday and I finally made it skiing. In the evening we all met up at a local Brewhouse for dinner. 2 days of yummy eating. Then they surprised me with a cake and even a sparkler.
