Kyoto

We started out by hiking through the famous Fushimi-Inari Taisha shrine which was dedicated back in the day to the gods of rice and sake. Thousands of red-orange torii, stone foxes and little temples scattered along a wooded path.

Little stops along the way had prayers you could buy and then offer up in a temple. Some written on wooden sticks and others on candles.
Sometimes ordering random things from the menu brings you a dessert when you wanted real food. It was tasty though. Green tea, sweet beans and glass noodles.

So much to see in Kyoto and so little time.
